Laban’s Diagonal Scale
Laban’s Diagonal Scale
This is a recreation of a movement scale, much like music scales, a movement scale is a way to practice and experience movement within and through our personal space as well as along the periphery.
This scale is called “the diagonal scale”. It is a scale following a sequence along the 8 corners of a cube. The dimensional cross within the cube is structured in such a way that it illustrates the nature of time, weight and space.
This scale is invented by Rudolf Laban (1879-1958), who was a master of movement.

As physical spaces remain shut and audiences head online, we have tried for the first time to hold an Instagram-based exhibition, @go.around.pop.
To add extra depth and interactivity, we created a short video of backstory for each item. This backstory video is 19 seconds long without sound.
