Writing Dance II

I have always wondered how dances were remembered.

When I hear that a dance company is going to perform, I ask myself questions how do they know what to do? Is dance written down somewhere?

Actually, dance artist and theorist, Rudolf Laban (1879 – 1958), had invented a graphical system of analyzing and recording movement.

The Laban notation has two main sets of symbols.

Here I would like to introduce to you the symbols that represent the position of these parts of the body in space.

I would to show a diagram of the positions of the labanotation makes it possible to represent the movement of the part of the body in space (in 3 dimensions) around it.
