Hive
- our hydrological need of cosmic lines
This is a performance reflecting on the essence of the human species, inspired by Michelangelo’s famous La Sacra Famiglia, of a “choreographic” picture that marks the end of the era of Renaissance.
An artistic residency centred around the co-creation process that engages discovery, transformation and innovation, is integrated with this performance.
During the residency, a group of emerging and established artists in the fields of dance, music, visual art, theatre, and interdisciplinary work, were invited to embark on a journey to re-create “Hive” as an “elastic performance” in Jordan.
Being “elastic”, means that the performance can be adapted to be presented in outdoor spaces, in indoor spaces, standard stages, museums, markets, stations, schools, etc.
